This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to identify needs, establish performance and learning objectives, design solutions, supervise development, and coordinate implementation.

• Offer client-facing learning consulting for both internal and external instructor-led training programs supporting the Nuclear Power Group.

• Conduct intake and scoping calls, workshops, focus groups, and various activities for learning needs analysis.

• Analyze tasks, skills, potential mistakes, learner journeys, audience profiles, and performance objectives.

• Compile insights into client-facing reports and presentations.

• Create proposals for learning solutions, curriculum maps, course outlines, modalities, sequencing, instructional strategies, and archetypes.

• Establish connections, scaffolding, and key themes across different programs and courses.

• Develop practical exercises and activities that align with learning objectives and real-world tasks.

• Utilize technology and equipment, such as MS Teams features and lab equipment, to enhance interactivity.

• Design evaluation plans and metrics to measure training effectiveness.

• Create and present client-facing solution proposals.

• Define activity archetypes and develop playbooks for scalable instructor-led training design and development.

• Ensure sustainable program implementation.

• Coordinate with implementation administrators, facilitators, and stakeholders.

• Identify and address execution risks and error traps.

• Facilitate collaborative workshops with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Guide project team members in applying instructional best practices.

• Facilitate handoffs and work closely with Training team members responsible for detailed design, development, and implementation.

• Collect and incorporate feedback from peers, NPG stakeholders, subject-matter experts, external clients, and learners.

• Analyze data to identify trends and suggest ongoing improvements.

• Oversee the validation of solution appropriateness, business alignment, and technical accuracy.

• Act as the primary contact for project stakeholders.

• Manage assigned projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Create and oversee schedules, review and approval workflows, status updates, and project scope.

• Maintain precise version control.

• Travel occasionally to Chicago, regional offices, and client sites.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in roles such as Curriculum Designer, Training Specialist, Instructional Designer, Performance Consultant, or Training Program Manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Engineering, or a related field.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High attention to detail.

• Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.

• Exceptional relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work with templates and follow style guidelines.

• Proficiency in ADDIE, SAT, or performance-based training development models.

• Ability to independently clarify vague or undefined performance issues, define a systematic approach to uncovering needs, and develop a solution vision.

• Experience with highly technical, complex, and regulated content.

• Experience in designing extensive, multi-modality training solutions.

• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
