
Instructor-Led Training Specialist – Development and Facilitation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and enhance learning objectives.
• Collect, verify, and improve training materials.
• Convert objectives and sourced content into course outlines and proposals for learning solutions.
• Create evaluation strategies and metrics to measure the effectiveness of training.
• Develop activities and hands-on exercises that align with learning objectives.
• Utilize technology and equipment, such as MS Teams and lab tools, to promote interactivity.
• Create presentation materials, facilitator guides and scripts, participant manuals, worksheets, job aids, infographics, and assessment questions.
• Analyze data to identify trends and suggest ongoing improvements.
• Review existing training materials for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Compile final training packages.
• Collaborate with Training Implementation Administrators to set up and assign courses in the LMS.
• Conduct engaging training sessions in-person, virtually, and in hybrid formats.
• Lead train-the-trainer workshops.
• Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders.
• Oversee assigned projects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Create and manage timelines, workflows, status updates, scope, quick-turn requests, and version control.
• Facilitate workshops with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor project team members on instructional best practices.
• Collect and implement feedback during design, development, and execution phases.
• Coordinate technical content validation and approval with subject-matter experts.
• Travel up to 25% to Chicago, regional offices, and client locations.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in roles such as Training Specialist, Technical Trainer, Instructional Designer, Content Developer, or a similar position.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Engineering, or a related field.
• Exceptional written communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• Capability to work with templates and comply with style guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience facilitating sessions using MS Teams.
• Familiarity with ADDIE, SAT, or performance-based training development models.
• Experience facilitating training for in-person, virtual, and hybrid audiences.
• Background in handling highly technical, complex, and regulated content.
• No sponsorship for U.S. work authorization is available.
• A portfolio showcasing work samples of course outlines, PowerPoint presentations, facilitator/participant guides, and hands-on exercises.
• Experience in the nuclear energy sector, regulated engineering, or safety-critical environments is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Proficiency in graphic design and/or video editing software is a plus, though not required.
