This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Provide consultation on intricate ISD studies and projects, offering deep subject matter expertise, strategic advice, and mentorship to instructional design teams.
β’ Execute systematic instructional systems design processes for evaluating and creating training solutions intended for formal delivery.
β’ Oversee a team of Instructional Designers to produce effective curricula and training products, fostering a positive team culture in alignment with organizational strategies and objectives.
β’ Apply curriculum and training design processes to guarantee that both new and existing products deliver the intended user experiences and measurable learning outcomes.
β’ Enhance and maintain curriculum and training standards in accordance with established design principles and best practices in learning development.
β’ Assist field staff in gathering ongoing stakeholder feedback to promote continuous improvement of curriculum and training, ensuring conformity with evolving best practices and program requirements.
β’ Assess and choose suitable instructional strategies, delivery modalities (e.g., ILT, eLearning, virtual, blended), and evaluation methods.
β’ Create and review training needs assessments at the project level, along with gap analyses, evaluation frameworks, and curriculum maps.
β’ Act as a quality reviewer for all ISD deliverables, ensuring they meet contract requirements, Section 508 accessibility standards, and principles of adult learning theory.
β’ Convey complex instructional design concepts to a variety of stakeholders, including program leadership, client representatives, and technical teams.
β’ Doctorate in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, Educational Technology, or a closely related field.
β’ At least 10 years of experience in instructional systems design, curriculum development, or training program management.
β’ Proven experience in leading or managing teams of instructional designers within a governmental or complex organizational setting.
β’ Expert knowledge of instructional systems design models (ADDIE, SAM, Agile ISD) and adult learning theory.
β’ Experience in creating and delivering multi-modal training solutions, including instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning, virtual instructor-led training (vILT), and blended learning.
β’ Proficient in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, Lectora) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
β’ Experience in developing training for complex health IT systems and enterprise software in federal or healthcare settings.
β’ Understanding of Section 508 accessibility requirements and their application to training materials.
β’ Strong project management capabilities; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables under tight deadlines.
β’ Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills; experience in presenting to executive-level audiences.
