This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Create, implement, and deliver training programs and educational solutions for a variety of audiences utilizing best practices in instructional design and principles of adult learning.
• Develop training strategies, frameworks, curricula, course materials, and accompanying documentation.
• Employ various delivery methods such as print, audio, visual, multimedia, eLearning, and instructor-led training.
• Choose suitable instructional methods and technologies based on the needs of the audience and the goals of learning.
• Oversee the course development and design process from initial concept to final implementation.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather data and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of content.
• Promote effective communication through meetings, presentations, updates, and interactions with clients.
• Create assessments and feedback systems using both qualitative and quantitative methods to assess learning effectiveness and participant involvement.
• Review learner feedback, assessment outcomes, and performance metrics to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
• Assist in the creation of SOPs, instructional processes, and standardized resources that guarantee consistent delivery of educational activities.
• Ensure that educational content adheres to plain-language standards and accessibility guidelines.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 4 years of pertinent experience in instructional design, learning and development, training development, or a related field.
• Proficient in applying instructional design methodologies and principles of adult learning.
• Experience in evaluating training effectiveness and implementing ongoing improvements.
• Technical writing and editing experience, along with the ability to simplify complex technical, research, and policy concepts into accessible materials.
• Experience in quality control of deliverables ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Knowledge of AP Stylebook and GPO Style Manual.
• Document template creation, maintenance, and utilization.
• Previous experience in designing and developing Section 508-compliant online training.
• Strong skills in stakeholder collaboration.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity tools and collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to follow through on instructions.
• Experience working with federal government clients and contracts.
• Development and remediation of Section 508 compliant webpages in WordPress.
• Background in supporting health, science, research, or public-sector organizations.
• Experience in JavaScript coding.
• Intermediate familiarity with AI tools, including their limitations and risks, and their application in project management tasks.
