This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Report directly to the Manager of Learning and Development.
• Perform analyses on learning and performance needs to identify target audiences, objectives, outcomes, delivery methods, and success metrics.
• Create and develop e-learning modules, facilitator resources, learner materials, job aids, and assessments.
• Work collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs), leaders, project managers, and business stakeholders to gather, validate, approve, and maintain precise content.
• Oversee synchronous and asynchronous processes for content gathering, review, and approval.
• Distill complex information from SMEs and pinpoint content gaps and inconsistencies.
• Utilize instructional design methodologies, adult learning theories, accessibility standards, and inclusive design practices.
• Produce digital learning products using Articulate 360, Canva, generative AI tools, multimedia, and coding technologies.
• Create, modify, enhance, and troubleshoot HTML-based learning products for eLearning code segments.
• Evaluate and test AI-generated content and code for functionality, accuracy, accessibility, privacy, security, instructional effectiveness, and compatibility.
• Conduct functional, usability, accessibility, and LMS compatibility testing while implementing iterative enhancements.
• Manage the lifecycle of learning content, which includes reviews, version control, updates, approvals, publications, maintenance, and retirement.
• Facilitate selected virtual and in-person learning sessions and workshops.
• Configure, test, publish, organize, maintain, and retire content in the Absorb LMS.
• Develop and uphold templates, standards, workflows, and procedures for content creation and LMS publishing.
• Assess emerging learning technologies and development methodologies.
• Consult with leaders and stakeholders regarding performance gaps and potential learning or non-learning solutions.
• Guide SMEs and stakeholders on instructional design, adult learning principles, accessibility, content scope, delivery methods, and best practices.
• A Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Organizational Learning, Education, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in designing and developing workplace or organizational learning solutions, including eLearning and both virtual and instructor-led training.
• A portfolio may be requested that showcases instructional design, e-learning development, or multimedia learning projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Articulate 360, specifically with Storyline and Rise.
• Proficient in multimedia and video-editing software.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, assessment practices, and eLearning standards such as SCORM.
• Experience in publishing, testing, organizing, maintaining, and retiring content within an LMS, with a strong preference for Absorb.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Experience in designing for blended or virtual learning environments.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG and AODA.
• Experience incorporating accessibility and inclusive design practices into digital learning.
• Background in workplace learning, technical content, or performance consulting.
• Experience utilizing generative AI for the development, refinement, and troubleshooting of HTML-based eLearning components.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS, including reviewing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting code-based learning elements.
• Excellent writing, editing, information synthesis, and content organization skills.
• Experience with Canva is considered an asset.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent learning priorities, contributions from SMEs, review cycles, and deadlines.
• Capability to cultivate effective working relationships with SMEs and manage both synchronous and asynchronous collaboration.
