This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Carry out thorough virtual evaluations, encompassing complex or escalated restaurant locations.
• Assess the readiness of wiring, electrical systems, networking, and internet performance.
• Execute advanced diagnostics (traceroutes, port checks) and document any infrastructure gaps or risks.
• Offer technical support to clients and vendors to troubleshoot issues.
• Work in collaboration with Project Managers, Technicians, and Engineering to ensure successful installations.
• Lead follow-up actions to verify remediation and assist junior specialists through training and knowledge sharing.
• Suggest enhancements to survey tools, templates, and internal processes.
• Keep meticulous records in internal systems, including photographs, diagrams, and survey results.
• Install and set up POS hardware, such as workstations, printers, pin pads, cash drawers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Finalize cabling, patching, and connectivity arrangements.
• Provide onsite training and real-time support for staff and management.
• Implement updates to menus/systems and configure reporting.
• Conduct pre- and post-installation activities, site readiness evaluations, and troubleshooting.
• Lead follow-ups with clients to ensure seamless transitions and adoption.
• Travel frequently to client locations as necessary.
• Produce high-quality, precise work and results by consistently following documented processes, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and checklists.
• Review and validate results before submission to uphold consistency and high-quality standards.
• Identify and rectify process gaps or errors to promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• 2-3 years of experience in restaurant and/or technical support.
• Preferred experience in fintech or SaaS environments.
• In-depth knowledge of networking infrastructure, including low-voltage cabling, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi optimization.
• Proficient in advanced network testing (speed, latency, DNS) and translating results into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with experience in resolving escalated technical issues.
• Practical experience with restaurant POS systems, multi-terminal deployments, and technology installations in QSR, full-service, or franchise settings.
• Proven track record of managing complex, multi-site projects independently and mentoring junior team members.
• Experience in conducting client-facing walkthroughs, training staff, and clearly communicating technical information via Zoom or in person.
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, POS hardware/software, menus, modifiers, and reporting workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, ticketing systems, and travel/expense management.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, with a professional demeanor under pressure.
• Demonstrated success in over 50 POS installations or similar technical deployments.
• Background in customer-facing roles, IT support, implementation, or technical project leadership within restaurants, retail, or multi-location businesses.
