This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Responsible for conducting outbound sales calls to a targeted list of healthcare professional (HCP) prospects throughout the US, as designated by the Commercial Team.
• Position yourself as the primary brand representative for Vivus.
• Keep in touch with HCPs and their support teams to ensure they are informed about product details and Patient Support Programs.
• Send follow-up emails and/or faxes after each phone conversation with HCPs or prescribers.
• Meet and exceed sales objectives.
• Maintain a database of contacts, sales calls, and relevant discussions in Veeva (Customer Relations Database).
• Manage orders for Patient Support Materials as needed for both PANCREAZE and QSYMIA.
• Detail PANCREAZE and QSYMIA in accordance with FDA-approved product labeling, address product inquiries, and handle medical information requests when necessary.
• Conduct Virtual Lunch-and-Learn (LNL) sessions with key HCP targets.
• Attend Local and National Tradeshows as required.
• Oversee business expenses using Concur.
• Experience in inside sales, tele sales, contact centers, customer service, pharmaceutical, or healthcare settings is preferred.
• Background in Pharmaceutical Sales is preferred, ideally within the Gastroenterology field, or 3-5 years of business-to-business sales experience.
• A Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited college or university is required.
• Willingness to travel if requested.
• Self-driven and results-oriented with accountability for performance.
• Self-study, training, and testing are required; progression through training and sales certifications is contingent upon passing necessary exams.
• Strong skills in planning and prioritization.
• Proven track record of analyzing the business environment, interpreting territory analytics, and leveraging team insights to identify business opportunities and enhance sales outcomes.
• Capacity to learn, apply, and expand knowledge of the disease state is essential.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills across various channels (phone, fax, email, and virtual engagement platforms).
• Experience in developing long-term relationships and demonstrating value.
• Proficient in computer skills; skilled in Microsoft Office and experienced in entering information into Veeva.
• Quick learner with the ability to handle high call volumes.
• Strong work ethic, committed to completing tasks while upholding high ethical standards in business.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying processes and procedures among HCP offices to secure prescriber access.
