Inside Sales Representative – Southeast

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with sales teams to deliver comprehensive administrative support for sales activities.

• Assist customers with inquiries prior to sale and facilitate order fulfillment.

• Manage and process customer purchase orders, ensuring they are entered at the correct location.

• Coordinate purchase orders with plant locations, reload yards, procurement, and logistics to meet customer deadlines.

• Adhere to SOX standards for maintaining accurate documentation.

• Address telephone inquiries from customers.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating customer needs and proposing proactive solutions.

• Conduct monthly reconciliation of reload yard inventory.

• Provide support in the absence of other inside sales representatives.

• Follow established procedures from Koppers Credit and Finance Departments.

• Occasionally visit plants to assist with physical inventories and training.

• Aid customer restoration efforts during storms and emergencies, which may include working nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

• 1-3 years of experience in customer service or inside sales is necessary.

• Exceptional customer service skills are essential.

• Ability to analyze, read, and write general business reports is required.

• Basic understanding of financial reports is necessary.

• Capability to effectively present information and address questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

• Strong team player with a high attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.

• Reliable Wi-Fi connection is required for remote work.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Self-starter with the capability to work independently.

• Willingness to travel up to 5% is expected.
