Inside Sales Representative – Southeast

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with sales teams to deliver comprehensive administrative support for sales activities.

• Ensure compliance with contract terms while assisting customers with pre-sale inquiries and fulfilling orders.

• Manage and process customer purchase orders, entering them at the designated locations.

• Coordinate purchase orders with plant locations, reload yards, procurement, and logistics to meet customer deadlines.

• Adhere to SOX standards to ensure accurate documentation.

• Address telephone inquiries from customers effectively.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating customer needs and proposing proactive solutions.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of reload yard inventory.

• Provide coverage when other inside sales representatives are away from the office.

• Follow established procedures set by Koppers Credit and Finance Departments.

• Make occasional visits to plants to assist with physical inventories and provide training.

• Support customer restoration efforts during storms and emergencies by processing orders and assisting with restoration, which may include working nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing or a related field is preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in customer service or inside sales is necessary.

• Outstanding customer service skills are essential.

• Capability to analyze, read, and write general business reports.

• Basic understanding of financial reports is required.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

• A strong team player with high attention to detail.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products.

• Reliable Wi-Fi is required for the remote position.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Self-starter capable of working independently.

• Willingness to travel up to 5% is necessary.
