This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Effectively oversee and expand weekly sales orders from designated accounts via phone calls, online interactions, and occasional field visits.
• Frequently communicate with clients through phone, email, and occasional in-person visits to evaluate needs, manage inventory, boost sales through upselling/cross-selling, promote trials/samples, and stay updated on promotions.
• Build and uphold a comprehensive understanding of product offerings to deliver customized recommendations.
• Aid the collections team in obtaining timely payments from accounts, including necessary follow-ups.
• Foster robust relationships with grocery and restaurant clients, providing guidance on product choices and ordering procedures.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues swiftly, documenting and tracking significant concerns for resolution.
• Collaborate with the local warehouse supervisor to ensure order fulfillment and assist with local customer pickups.
• Generate invoices, receive, process, and record incoming payments. Address client billing questions and concerns. Reconcile invoices and payments for assigned accounts. Maintain follow-ups based on aging receivables for each account.
• Analyze sales data to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing market share and wallet size.
• Remain updated on market trends and competitors, providing regular insights and reports to management.
• Work alongside the business strategy team to integrate sales insights into daily account management.
• Participate in both virtual and occasional field marketing activities, product demonstrations, and industry events to explore new markets.
• Engage in cold calling, email campaigns, and occasional in-person visits to generate new client leads.
• Supply management with reports regarding customer needs, prospective new products or services, and competitive activities.
• Assist customers in embracing new technologies and e-commerce platforms.
• Carry out additional duties as necessary to fulfill business requirements.
• 2-5 years of sales experience in the food & beverage, hospitality, or distribution sectors.
• Bilingual in English and Hindi; proficiency in additional South Asian languages is advantageous.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willing to travel as needed.
• Capable of occasionally lifting up to 60 lbs, as required.
