Inside Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Accurately deliver project takeoffs by collecting bid information from both internal and external sources, examining blueprints, specifications, and RFQs, evaluating scope and feasibility, researching material costs, labor estimates, and timeline considerations, and preparing comprehensive bid packages for review.

• Collaborate with Sales Managers to assess customer and project requirements, analyze costs, establish pricing, evaluate competitive pricing and market conditions, create cost breakdowns and margin analyses, and aid in the development of compelling proposals.

• Coordinate with third-party engineers and internal engineering or design support teams to submit design review requests, ensure proposed solutions comply with technical standards, and assist in crafting customized solutions for customer opportunities.

• Assist Sales Managers by following up on quotes and opportunities, managing quotation and opportunity backlogs, tracking quote statuses and expiration dates, generating pipeline updates, and prioritizing time-sensitive opportunities to enhance response quality and win rates.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by acting as the initial point of contact for inbound leads and customer inquiries, addressing questions, assisting with project clarification requests, maintaining customer interaction records, and proactively communicating project updates, delivery timelines, and any changes that may affect expectations.

• Utilize technology and data tools to monitor market trends, analyze information, support sales activities, and contribute to quote volume, project follow-ups, engineering specifications, and other sales support requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, sales support, estimating, customer service, project coordination, or a related commercial role.

• Preferred experience or exposure to construction, civil engineering, or project-based work.

• Capability to review blueprints, specifications, RFQs, project requirements, cost inputs, and technical details to facilitate accurate quotation and proposal development.

• A strong customer service focus with the ability to address customer inquiries, assist with clarification requests, and collaborate with internal teams to fulfill customer needs.

• Solid analytical skills to evaluate project requirements, monitor market trends, and support pricing and quotation activities using data and technology.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with Sales Managers, customers, engineering/design support, and cross-functional stakeholders to align quotes, opportunities, and technical requirements.

• Tech-savvy with the proficiency to learn and utilize sales, quoting, reporting, and analysis tools; experience with QuoteWerks, Salesforce, and Power BI is preferred.

• Professional communication abilities, strong follow-up practices, and the capability to manage quote activities, customer requests, and opportunity progression in a timely and organized manner.
