This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop, enhance, and sustain a pipeline of qualified leads and sales opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and outreach utilizing MEDDPICC for qualification and deal progression.
• Implement Challenger Sale strategies to educate, customize, and take charge of conversations, even in transactional environments.
• Carry out thorough needs assessments and provide product demonstrations to highlight the value and advantages of Versaterm’s technology solutions.
• Comprehend and communicate Versaterm’s value proposition to decision-makers in agencies and end-users.
• Negotiate and finalize deals while fostering strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales Operations teams to ensure messaging alignment and support clients throughout the sales process.
• Participate in in-person client meetings, industry events, conferences, and tradeshows as necessary to cultivate relationships and maintain visibility within your territory.
• Execute other related tasks as assigned to further team objectives, departmental requirements, and overall organizational goals.
• At least 2–3+ years of demonstrated sales experience in SaaS technology, ideally within the public safety sector.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven history of meeting or surpassing revenue targets while managing a large or complex sales pipeline.
• In-depth knowledge of the government procurement process and the ability to navigate intricate buying cycles.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• Willingness to travel within your assigned territory up to 20–40% of the time.
• Familiarity with MEDDPICC and Challenger Sale frameworks and methodologies.
• Proficient in using CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and virtual demo platforms.
• Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by small public safety agencies.
• Goal-oriented with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding monthly/quarterly sales targets.
