Inside Sales, Lead Generation – Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee municipal permit submissions, planning applications, development approvals, and construction updates throughout Ontario

• Recognize projects in the permit and pre-construction stages

• Monitor developers and general contractors who are actively securing projects

• Identify developers, general contractors, construction managers, project managers, and purchasing leads associated with each project

• Gather names, titles, direct phone numbers, and email addresses

• Ascertain who holds control over specifications and budgets, establishing priorities for outreach

• Conduct a significant volume of outbound cold calls on a daily basis

• Assess interest and uncover project timelines, scopes, and purchasing processes

• Schedule qualified meetings for the sales team and achieve monthly meeting objectives

• Input projects, contacts, call results, and notes into Salesforce on the same day

• Ensure CRM records are accurate and maintain an up-to-date tracked-development pipeline

• Prepare sales representatives prior to meetings with information on the project, contact, discussions, and sales opportunities

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience in outbound cold calling or prospecting, utilizing the phone as the primary communication tool

• Demonstrated comfort with a high volume of calls

• Strong research skills and resourcefulness in locating contact information

• Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce is highly preferred

• Ability to maintain clean CRM data

• Background in selling to construction, building products, real estate development, or skilled trades

• Familiarity with permit and planning data sources like municipal portals, ConstructConnect, Dodge, BuildingConnected, or similar platforms

• Knowledge of multifamily construction phases and purchasing processes
