This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +2 more states.
• Conduct thorough investigations and verify the facts of loss for the most intricate homeowners claims.
• Assess coverage and damages while adjusting and negotiating claims within established authority limits.
• Evaluate, investigate, and resolve complex residential property claims from the initial stage to resolution.
• Analyze claim details and review policy coverage comprehensively.
• Evaluate damages utilizing documentation and estimating software such as Xactimate.
• Maintain communication with policyholders and vendors throughout the claims process.
• Negotiate equitable and precise claim settlements.
• Mentor and provide direction to junior staff members.
• Collaborate with fraud and subrogation representatives to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Recognize components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems.
• Assess potential for subrogation or fraud and determine the appropriate course of action.
• Manage complex homeowners first-party claims related to coverage, damages, and subrogation with discretion and autonomy.
• Significant experience at the Adjuster II level or a transition into a specialized position.
• Advanced knowledge of company-written insurance policies, the insurance sector, and organizational dynamics.
• Proven experience in managing complex homeowners first-party claims that involve coverage, damages, and subrogation.
• Capability to independently investigate, evaluate, adjust, and negotiate property claims within heightened authority.
• Familiarity with residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems.
• Ability to identify potential subrogation and fraud and determine suitable handling procedures.
• Strong customer service abilities to address intricate customer needs effectively.
• Relevant active insurance licenses may be necessary, including a Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License.
• Must conclude existing insurance appointments prior to onboarding and cannot hold outside appointments during employment.
• Candidates with a resident producer license must relinquish it when directed by the licensing team.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• A dedicated, private home workspace that is free from distractions, equipped with a suitable desk and seating.
• Reliable internet connectivity with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
• A $1,000 Licensing Sign-on Bonus may be available for candidates with relevant active licenses.
