Innovation Consultant – Energy & Environment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and submission of top-notch proposals for a diverse range of European funding programs, including the Innovation Fund, Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), PCI/PMI initiatives, LIFE, and Horizon Europe.

• Coordinate international proposal teams and manage the entire proposal development process from conception to submission.

• Provide guidance to clients on European funding strategies and identify the most appropriate funding opportunities.

• Organize technical workshops with industrial companies, research organizations, and consortium partners.

• Create competitive project concepts, work packages, budgets, and implementation strategies.

• Establish and maintain long-term client relationships while delivering exceptional consulting services.

• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

• Assist in business development by identifying new client and funding opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 3–5 years of experience in EU funding, innovation consulting, or R&D project development.

• Demonstrated experience in independently writing and coordinating European funding proposals.

• In-depth knowledge of the Innovation Fund, LIFE, Horizon Europe, CEF, and other European funding programs.

• A degree in Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field is preferred.

• Candidates with backgrounds in Policy, Innovation Management, or similar areas will also be considered.

• Experience collaborating with industrial clients in sectors such as industrial decarbonization, energy systems, renewable energy, hydrogen, clean technologies, circular economy, or climate technologies.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and client-facing skills.

• Proficient in written and spoken English (C1 minimum) and fluent in Italian.

• Capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative, international environment.
