This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Define, lead, and manage innovation initiatives aimed at improving tactical communications and securing market leadership within the DoD and Federal Agencies.
• Work in partnership with engineering, business development, sales, marketing, and relevant stakeholders to foster collaborations, create go-to-market strategies, and meet emerging customer needs.
• Conduct high-level systems analysis, evaluation, integration, documentation, and execution of intricate solutions.
• Integrate and troubleshoot third-party hardware, software, and networking technologies for PacStar products.
• Develop and implement protocols for system configuration and testing.
• Produce and support integrated systems for Marketing, Sales, and end users.
• Author and design documents and procedures for both internal and external audiences.
• Maintain quality standards for PacStar products.
• Represent the technology leadership at events necessitating physical presence.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• US Citizenship is Mandatory.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in military and/or STEM fields, including information technology, communication engineering, or electronics.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to support customers is required.
• Capable of presenting complex technological concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in PC hardware and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with IP networking and networking devices, such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Experience with various network equipment vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Riverbed, Aruba, and Ruckus, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with VMware vSphere (ESXi) is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Linux is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of network management applications like SolarWinds, SNMPc, and Nagios is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to complete job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift and transport 35 pounds of test equipment over a distance of at least 40 feet.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Competence in self-organizing workloads and meeting deadlines.
• May require additional security screening for access to export-controlled information.
