Ingeniero CAE – Industria Automotriz

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create Rapid Concept Development (RCD) models for innovative Body-in-White (BIW) structures.

• Develop and sustain high-quality Finite Element (FE) models and meshes for structural evaluations.

• Conduct CAE simulations utilizing LS-DYNA, Nastran, OptiStruct, and Isight.

• Implement optimization strategies for shape, gauge, material, topology, and topography.

• Prepare models for optimization analyses and carry out design exploration activities.

• Employ FE mesh morphing techniques to facilitate design iterations and concept assessments.

• Evaluate simulation outcomes and produce technical reports detailing structural performance.

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to recommend countermeasures, enhancements, and creative vehicle structure concepts.

• Assist in the assessment of lightweight materials and advanced manufacturing technologies for automotive applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in CAE, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), or vehicle structural development.

• In-depth knowledge of automotive Body-in-White (BIW) systems, materials, and manufacturing techniques.

• Proficiency in LS-DYNA, Nastran, OptiStruct, and Isight.

• Familiarity with SFE CONCEPT and methodologies for concept modeling.

• Understanding of FE mesh generation, mesh morphing, and model construction techniques.

• Knowledge of automotive materials, including steel, aluminum, and composites.

• Comprehension of structural mechanics and the behavior of thin-walled structures.

• Experience with Teamcenter, Siemens NX, and VisProfessional is a significant advantage.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and technical reporting abilities.

• High proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

• Experience in supporting early-stage vehicle architecture and lightweight initiatives.

• Background in optimization-focused design methodologies.

• Exposure to multidisciplinary engineering teams within the automotive sector.

• Experience in presenting technical recommendations directly to design and vehicle integration teams.
