Infrastructure Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Implement, maintain, and enhance infrastructure security platforms and services.

• Provide guidance on secure design and engineering while addressing business requests for security tools and services.

• Support and develop security services for Endpoint, WAF, DNS, Email, and Layer 7 firewalls.

• Enhance tools for managing security rule sets and align policies with the organization's risk-reduction objectives.

• Participate in and manage the on-call rotation for critical systems and off-hours incident response.

• Mentor junior staff in security best practices.

• Create automation strategies for security policy management.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into existing tools and environments.

• Utilize data sources and advanced analytics to generate metrics and reports on enterprise performance and security posture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in managing and troubleshooting network firewalls, endpoint security, and DNS security.

• Strong understanding of network security principles and their application.

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Proficient in using data collection tools and methodologies to analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions.

• Familiarity or hands-on experience with Cloudflare, Akamai, or comparable web application firewall solutions.

• Capability to work independently and adapt swiftly.

• Bonus: Experience with CrowdStrike, Tanium, Airlock, or similar endpoint protection products.

• Bonus: Experience with Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, or AWS Lambda.

• Bonus: Experience with email authentication, Proofpoint, SPF, DMARC, and DKIM policies.

• Bonus: Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, highly segmented and transient networks, or high-performance network environments.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Jira and Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.

• Comfortable with scripting or software development.
