Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Ensure the reliability and scalability of services while continuously enhancing them.

• Participate in 2.5-hour on-call duties, including one compensated weekend on-call each month.

• Design and oversee complex hybrid infrastructure, primarily involving multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters, utilizing infrastructure as code.

• Manage incidents and engage in the on-call rotation.

• Enhance platform monitoring and alerting systems.

• Use insights from monitoring and observation to boost system availability and performance.

• Automate repetitive tasks to alleviate workload.

• Strategize, design, and implement solutions aligned with team-established objectives.

• Identify components of the system that lack scalability, provide immediate solutions, and advocate for long-term fixes.

• Refine documentation by clarifying the reasoning behind processes and systems.

• Cultivate domain expertise and share insights with fellow team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience managing mission-critical services with accountability for reliability, uptime, and SLA compliance.

• Possession of Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.

• Availability aligned with the Americas time zone.

• Practical experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Nomad.

• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools including Helm, Terraform, and Ansible.

• Experience with monitoring solutions like Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, and BetterUptime.

• Background with public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar.

• Programming proficiency in Python and/or Go.

• Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS).

• Ability to analyze systems, encompassing edge cases, failure modes, behaviors, and specific implementations.

• Strong proficiency in Linux and shell environments.

• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to resolving system issues.

• Excellent documentation skills.

• A strong intellectual drive to expand knowledge in blockchain technology.
