This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Act as the main point of contact for infrastructure during EU working hours, providing support for cross-regional requirements in APAC (AUS) and EMEA.
• Develop, scale, and enhance the infrastructure to support the expanding EMEA teams and regional customer implementations.
• Proactively oversee system performance, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management for GCP-based workloads to ensure high availability.
• Automate deployment processes, manage Kubernetes clusters, and create internal tools that empower developers to deploy code reliably and swiftly.
• Create asynchronous workflows and handoff procedures with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless 24/7 operations.
• Serve as the infrastructure leader during EU business hours while managing incident responses, system maintenance, and long-term infrastructure advancement.
• Over 5 years of experience as a software engineer in a production setting.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
• More than 3 years of practical experience in running and scaling workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• At least 3 years of experience managing production Kubernetes clusters; experience with GKE is advantageous.
• Strong skills in Python and Go for developing infrastructure automation, APIs, and operational tools.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
• High level of self-direction and effective asynchronous communication skills, with a track record of success in distributed team environments.
• Familiarity with hosting, serving, or orchestrating agentic AI systems and LLM workflows.
• Experience in constructing and scaling modern data pipelines or stream-processing architectures.
• Background working with early-stage technical companies.
• Position based in London (BST/GMT) or Central European (CET/CEST) time zones.
• Willingness to coordinate with the US Bay Area team for syncs/handoffs and to provide coverage during EU hours and the beginning of the APAC business day.
