Senior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Embrace a Security First mindset and take charge of cloud security.

• Develop, maintain, and support cloud deployments utilizing Azure and DigitalOcean.

• Design cloud and network infrastructure while balancing immediate needs with future scalability.

• Enhance and manage developer tools and CI/CD pipelines.

• Optimize cloud and tooling expenditures to improve budget allocation and boost developer efficiency.

• Assist the engineering team in deploying and maintaining live workloads.

• Collaborate with IT and security teams to fulfill engineering requirements.

• Engage with both internal and external stakeholders on cloud-related issues.

• Create and uphold monitoring solutions for services deployed across the stack.

• Act as a subject matter expert on cloud technologies, automation, and DevOps best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of cloud service providers, particularly Azure Cloud Services.

• Proficient in Kubernetes.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform.

• Skilled in GitHub Workflows.

• Solid understanding of monitoring and alerting tools, such as Sentry and Datadog.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies and serverless platforms, including Docker and Azure Container Apps.

• Good grasp of Linux systems.

• Strong knowledge of security best practices, focusing on cloud and networking.

• Proactive and adaptable mindset; able to meet objectives independently while adjusting priorities as needed.

• Excellent communication abilities and capacity to collaborate across departments.

• Preferred: experience in Data Engineering, including technologies like Airflow and Snowflake, along with database management.

• Preferred: experience in regulated environments, especially within financial institutions.

• Preferred: background in incident management and response.

• Preferred: enthusiasm for Developer Experience (DevEx) and creating effective tools for developers; familiarity with DORA metrics is a plus.
