Infrastructure & Endpoint Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold secure network and infrastructure architecture.

• Configure and oversee firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and network segmentation.

• Secure servers, cloud resources, containers, and virtual machines.

• Safeguard employee workstations and implement security baselines.

• Monitor endpoints and infrastructure for any suspicious activities.

• Gather, analyze, and correlate security logs.

• Identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk evaluations, and remediation efforts.

• Perform system and network hardening tasks.

• Create and deliver internal security training and awareness sessions.

• Manage security training platforms and develop learning content.

• Organize phishing simulations and awareness campaigns.

• Collaborate with IT, DevOps, Infrastructure, and HR teams.

• Complete and review client security questionnaires and assessment forms.

• Engage in security and compliance discussions with client information security specialists and stakeholders.

• Set up and maintain security monitoring and alerting systems.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and post-incident evaluations.

• Enhance detection, response, and prevention protocols.

• Track training completion rates and effectiveness.

• Continuously refine training materials based on incidents and risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of network security (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies).

• Experience in securing infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

• Familiarity with Zero Trust and least-privilege access models.

• Proficient with endpoint security measures (EDR, antivirus, disk encryption).

• Operating system security expertise in Windows, macOS, and Linux.

• Experience with monitoring and logging systems for endpoints, servers, and network traffic.

• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and identity access management (IAM).

• Experience in security hardening and patch management processes.

• Familiarity with security awareness and training platforms.

• Basic scripting capabilities (Bash, PowerShell, Python).

• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).

• Proficient English skills (B2+ level).

• Ability to convey security concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Proactive attitude with a security-first approach.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Capability to influence user behavior and foster a security-conscious culture.
