Infrastructure Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, implementation, and upkeep of on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure solutions for clients.

• Support infrastructure deployments, migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives under the mentorship of senior consultants.

• Develop and maintain virtualization, server, networking, and Microsoft infrastructure platforms.

• Aid in the configuration and maintenance of essential infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and backup solutions.

• Diagnose technical issues across infrastructure, networking, and end-user computing environments.

• Generate and update technical documentation, implementation guides, and materials for customer handover.

• Collaborate closely with project teams, service teams, vendors, and customers to achieve successful results.

• Enhance your technical and consultancy abilities through practical project work, mentorship, and industry training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in supporting or implementing infrastructure solutions within enterprise or mid-sized settings.

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and/or Hyper-V.

• Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

• Knowledge of networking principles such as switching, routing, wireless networking, and network security.

• Experience with backup and recovery technologies, preferably including Veeam.

• Familiarity with PowerShell or other automation and scripting tools is a plus.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities coupled with a desire to learn and develop technical skills.

• Strong communication and customer service skills, with an aptitude for building positive working relationships.

• Relevant certifications (or a commitment to pursue them) such as Microsoft, VMware, or networking certifications.
