Information Technology Management Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and facilitate the timely delivery of services to clients, ensuring adherence to scope and budget by managing staff assignments and developing work products.

• Act as the project manager and/or lead various client projects nationwide, enhancing client engagement and increasing team expertise.

• Create project deliverables tailored for clients.

• Spearhead and assist in crafting IT strategies, recommending operating models, establishing governance structures, enhancing processes, and developing implementation roadmaps that drive organizational modernization.

• Offer project leadership, conduct quality reviews, and mentor project teams, promoting effective consulting practices, structured analysis, and actionable recommendations.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public sector IT management practices, emerging technology trends, and industry frameworks, assessing their applicability to client situations.

• Contribute to business development initiatives, including the creation of proposals, client presentations, and thought leadership content.

• Relay project and delivery updates to clients, team members, and stakeholders, including facilitating client meetings.

• Collaborate with BerryDunn contractors to ensure the effective delivery of project outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, IT strategy, IT operations, technology modernization, enterprise architecture, or similar positions.

• Proven experience in leading or supporting extensive IT assessments, strategy development, modernization efforts, governance, process improvements, system implementations, or organizational change initiatives.

• Familiarity with IT management and governance frameworks, methodologies, and practices, including ITIL, COBIT, NIST, ISO, project management, organizational change management, business process improvements, and enterprise architecture.

• Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, COBIT, Prosci, TOGAF, CISA, CISSP, cloud, or vendor-specific technology certifications are advantageous.

• Understanding of IT governance, risk management, cybersecurity, data management, vendor management, compliance, and technology portfolio management practices.

• Experience in facilitating meetings and public speaking to large audiences, both in-person and virtually.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while producing high-quality results within deadlines.

• Willingness to work effectively within a small team environment, often independently preparing deliverables for managerial review.

• Demonstrated critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities.

• Capacity to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with diverse teams across various time zones.

• Proficiency in drafting client-facing reports and communications in a professional and constructive manner.

• Strong business and technical writing capabilities (writing samples may be requested).
