This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Manage the creation and execution of application security policies for client environments on a corporate scale.
• Ensure that application security policies align with business needs and protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, damage, or loss.
• Supervise the implementation of access controls that limit system, data, and program access to authorized and trained individuals.
• Oversee the proper destruction of highly sensitive confidential information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Develop and enact comprehensive security protocols.
• Lead the security administrator team, ensuring adherence to client-specific security protocols.
• Guarantee compliance with program security standards, which include personnel, physical, and administrative security systems and procedures.
• Act as a subject matter expert on security measures and compliance with audits.
• Coordinate critical components of corporate security initiatives and confirm compliance with client, government, and internal security policies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members.
• Design, organize, and facilitate security training programs.
• Investigate or supervise inquiries into security breaches and losses, recommending corrective measures as necessary.
• Execute approved corrective actions and prepare summaries for review by senior management.
• Stay informed about technological advancements to continuously enhance and align security solutions with industry and corporate standards.
• A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of nine years of experience in information systems security or computer operations.
• Proven experience with corporate-level security systems and implementation processes.
• Familiarity with corporate and government security regulations.
• Experience with company security software products.
• Knowledge of domain structures, user authentication, user profiles, and digital signatures.
• Must possess a security clearance at the Secret level and/or hold a CISSP certification.
• Strong skills in personal computer and business solutions software.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for the design, creation, and testing of security systems.
• Leadership qualities to guide and mentor junior staff.
• Strong research capabilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
