This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Identify, assess, and cultivate new clients within the designated industry.
• Build relationships, uncover opportunities, and utilize local sales representatives when necessary.
• Forge connections with key corporate accounts in the assigned sector (end users, EPCs, OEMs, integrators, etc.) to capitalize on previous business at specific locations, create new opportunities, and/or secure VEGA’s standing on Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs).
• Act as the account manager for significant clients as deemed appropriate.
• This role may be in the capacity of a national account manager for global agreement clients, regional sales manager for industry-focused representatives, or other necessary forms.
• Identify and pursue major capital project opportunities (as assigned/applicable).
• Establish customer relationships, collaborate with the Global Projects team, and leverage/lead internal resources to secure business.
• Oversee accounts and sales activities in alignment with established company policies and procedures via regular use of the customer relationship management (CRM) system, TopVis.
• Collaborate with Sales Management to pinpoint sellers who require coaching/mentoring within the assigned industry.
• Provide on-the-job training for sellers regarding customer-specific requirements, applications, technology, instruments, sales strategies, etc.
• Accompany customers with targeted sellers; observe the seller’s methods and suggest improvements.
• Enhance and disseminate knowledge internally regarding assigned industry customers, competitors, business demands, applications, measurement technology effectiveness, etc.
• Sharing may occur through formal/informal training, social media, information exchange meetings, etc.
• Position VEGA as a technological leader externally by presenting at conferences, customer meetings, and training seminars; generating social media content; authoring white papers; etc.
• Develop and collaborate with Marketing to execute plans related to industry-specific trade shows, conferences, marketing materials, etc.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• AND two to four years of experience in the mining industry marketplace
