This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of commodity markets, pricing trends, and supply dynamics.
• Serve as an internal expert on market conditions, providing education to Sales, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams.
• Utilize market insights to inform pricing decisions and train internal teams.
• Collaborate with sourcing and procurement teams to maintain the company’s competitiveness and market awareness.
• Anticipate shifts in the market and suggest proactive commercial strategies.
• Direct pricing strategy with a comprehensive understanding of cost drivers and profit margins.
• Ensure pricing remains competitive while safeguarding profitability.
• Assist internal teams in comprehending the actual market price versus internal cost structures.
• Manage significant industrial customer relationships throughout the U.S. and Canada.
• Negotiate contracts, oversee volumes, and ensure adherence to commitments.
• Identify growth potential through new products, formats, or distribution channels.
• Prepare budgets, create proposals, and implement contracts.
• Monitor and manage contract volumes to align with commitments.
• Coordinate with operations to fulfill customer specifications.
• Supervise order execution, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and plant capabilities.
• Act as a liaison between Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
• Provide input on sourcing and production decisions informed by market conditions.
• Assist in forecasting, margin analysis, and internal alignment activities.
• Seek new customers while expanding existing business opportunities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitive activities.
• Represent the company at industry events.
• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field.
• Experience in production, manufacturing, and materials inventory is advantageous.
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Motivated and results-driven individual.
