Industrial Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Creating comprehensive estimates for industrial projects.

• Participating in pre-bid meetings to assess the project scope and necessary documentation.

• Analyzing proposed specifications and drawings to define the scope of work and essential elements of the estimate; gathering quotes, printing drawings, performing take-off estimating, and addressing RFIs and RFQs.

• Engaging professionally with clients, various trades, general contractors, and internal teams.

• Supplying Construction Services with current CAD drawings and aiding in the preparation of shop drawings according to project specifications.

• Offering technical support, such as interpreting drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment as needed.

• Coordinating with Project Managers on involving other divisions, project closeouts, adhering to awarded contracts, and managing estimates for additional work items, change orders, and credits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management, or completion of a five-year electrical apprenticeship program.

• At least 5 years of experience in estimating, cost control, and/or engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment, including automotive and equipment manufacturing, steel or aluminum casting and mills, chemical manufacturing facilities, food production facilities, and water treatment facilities.
