This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Assess facility design requirements based on activity levels, product dimensions, product flow, and transportation methods.

• Create production time studies, analyze head count, evaluate downtime, develop efficiency improvement strategies, and analyze warehouse slotting and SKU velocity.

• Identify bottlenecks and enhance flow; analyze inbound, outbound, and inventory operations to establish and sustain optimal warehouse operations.

• Conduct value stream mapping, implement process improvements, and standardize practices across various sites.

• Support pricing and solutions teams by providing operational cost insights and other essential information required for RFPs.

• Monitor KPIs and create basic analytics for operational metrics.

• Collaborate with vendors to determine operational equipment and automation solutions.

• Formulate and oversee project plans for significant operational enhancement initiatives.

• Assist Maintenance by compiling lists of critical spare parts and maintaining a min/max tracker.

• Conduct daily P&L tracking for Finance.

• Transform contract documents, proposals, and statements of work into work instructions and operating procedures.

• Submit ISO-compliant work instructions and standard operating procedure documents to the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Travel within the Northeastern USA, primarily focusing on the Pennsylvania region.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience.

• Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience.

• Familiarity with analytical tools such as flow charts, Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, and run charts.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred).

• Willingness to travel up to 75% (preferred).

• Experience with BI software such as Tableau, Power BI, or Data Studio (preferred).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to present clear, organized, and detailed information and data suitable for the intended audience.

• Proficient in developing comprehensive and detailed technical documentation, job aids, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to generate insightful, value-added, and actionable research with in-depth explanations regarding the drivers of those results.

• Competence in producing clear, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations.

• Adherence to GXO policies regarding COVID safety.
