Indonesian VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary of the industry relevant to your interpreting role, particularly in healthcare and medicine, with training provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Enable effective communication between clients with Limited English Proficiency and the service provider by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide updates to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Indonesian".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience in a recognized interpretation company is advantageous, but not required.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, though not essential.

• Understanding of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
