• The Indonesian Telephone Interpreter is tasked with managing on-demand calls, facilitating communication between Indonesian and English speakers.

• The interpreter eliminates communication barriers across various sectors served by LanguageLine Solutions, including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel & Hospitality, General Business, Law Enforcement, Courts, and Emergency Services.

• The interpreter swiftly processes information and is adept at recognizing sensitive cultural nuances.

• Professionalism and courtesy are paramount, with the interpreter employing suitable terminology and understanding prevalent industry protocols and practices.

• The interpreting sessions may encompass a range of topics, from straightforward to intricate, and can include both technical and non-technical subjects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both Indonesian and English, along with a strong grasp of the associated cultural contexts.

• Capability to provide cultural competence and evaluate regional and accent variations to effectively communicate with Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals.

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities to ensure a high degree of accuracy during interpretation.

• The ability to focus, maintain emotional detachment from the conversation, remain neutral and objective at all times, and handle calls involving sensitive topics such as end-of-life discussions, pregnancy termination, vaccinations, and issues related to sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

• A background in language-related fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation, or interpretation is preferred.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
