Fijian Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert interpreting services, primarily within healthcare environments.

• Execute assignments exclusively via phone or Zoom.

• Facilitate effective communication between Fijian and English speakers, tailored to the specific language requirements and the interpreter's expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both Fijian and English languages.

• Proven experience in providing accurate, comprehensive, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community contexts, maintaining the highest fidelity to the original message.

• Strong capability to interpret orally between Fijian and English in both directions.

• Established track record of working effectively with individuals from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

• Competent in addressing the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders.

• A combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience.

• Willingness to acquire necessary medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as required.

• Must possess a reliable phone, a laptop or desktop computer, and a stable high-speed internet connection.

• Access to a quiet, private workspace to facilitate remote assignments.
