• Deliver consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation in real-time between Portuguese and English (and other languages upon request).
• Facilitate discussions in various settings including medical consultations, legal appointments, insurance calls, and public services.
• Ensure a faithful, neutral, and complete representation of spoken messages, maintaining the tone, register, and intent.
• Manage interpretation sessions conducted via telephone and video platforms, adhering to established protocols and time constraints.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
• Precisely document session details and complete necessary session logs in internal systems.
• Strive to achieve productivity and quality KPIs, encompassing response times and client satisfaction metrics.
• Provide feedback on processes, glossaries, and cultural notes to foster continuous improvement.
• Native or near-native proficiency in European Portuguese and fluent in English (C1/C2); proficiency in additional language combinations is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience as an interpreter or in related fields (healthcare, legal, social services, or customer support) is preferred.
• Strong active listening, memory, and note-taking abilities to ensure accurate rendition.
• Capacity to remain neutral, professional, and composed in emotionally charged or sensitive circumstances.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Comfortable utilizing digital platforms, video conferencing tools, and basic CRM or session-management systems.
• Reliable home office setup with a stable high-speed internet connection and readiness to use company-provided equipment when necessary.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays.
• Full-time remote position (work from home) with contracts that comply with Portuguese labor regulations.
• Flexible schedule covering shifts from Monday to Sunday; typical shift length is 8 hours/day with rotation.
• Paid remote training and structured onboarding (approximately 2–4 weeks) including sector-specific guidance and tool training.
• Monthly compensation based on contracted hours and/or billable sessions plus performance-related incentives.
