Independent Property Field Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Efficiently and promptly handle all assigned claims with minimal supervision.

• Make claim determinations within the limits of delegated authority according to company and carrier policies.

• Accurately assess policy coverages and implement suitable claims procedures.

• Set and communicate reserves in accordance with carrier expectations.

• Keep up-to-date with insurance policies, guidelines, and industry standards.

• Have a solid understanding of local construction techniques, pricing, and repair norms.

• Provide supplemental reports as necessary (e.g., severe incident reports, ITV reports).

• Deliver outstanding customer service to all insured parties, clients, and stakeholders.

• Uphold high standards of professionalism in all tasks.

• Take on additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in managing property claims.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Xactimate and Symbility estimating software.

• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, practices, and procedures.

• General understanding of construction is highly desirable.
