Incident Response Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create processes, tools, and automation to enhance incident management response and reduce business risks.

• Work collaboratively with security teams, engineering, product, support, and business operations to pinpoint detection use cases and automation opportunities.

• Employ a threat-modeling-focused strategy for incident detection and response.

• Oversee the security logging platform.

• Keep abreast of emerging threats and attack vectors to enhance detection strategies and manage the attack surface.

• Manage information security events and incidents across ClickHouse's products and services.

• Promote the adoption of contemporary security processes and tools that support detection and incident response capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in product security, red teaming, penetration testing, or threat modeling, along with expertise in incident detection and response.

• Proficient knowledge and experience with one or more cloud service providers, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven experience in securing large-scale customer-facing cloud infrastructures.

• Extensive development and automation experience, ideally with Golang and Python.

• A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline is advantageous.

• Previous involvement in open source projects is a plus.

• Security or cloud-related certifications, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, are additional qualifications.
