Incident Response Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Implement containment and remediation strategies for cybersecurity incidents within Cynet's customer and potential customer environments.

• Conduct forensic examinations of compromised assets and create actionable remediation strategies.

• Analyze potentially harmful files to comprehend their functions and techniques.

• Extract indicators of compromise and integrate them into detection systems.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24×7 escalations beyond standard business hours.

• Assist in enhancing and developing Cynet's tools and capabilities for incident response.

• Collaborate with the CyOps CTI team and the Orion threat hunting team.

• Provide training to CyOps team members on best practices for incident response.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in incident response within a Security Operations Center or a comparable cybersecurity organization.

• Practical experience with host and network digital forensics.

• Comprehensive understanding of incident response, digital forensics, and cyber threat hunting.

• Proficiency in recognizing the tactics, techniques, and procedures employed by threat actors.

• Familiarity with malware analysis.

• Capability to coordinate tasks within a team and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in monitoring EDR, XDR, or SIEM solutions is a plus.
