This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of HCM/payroll system implementations from the initial kickoff to go-live and subsequent support.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and key milestones.
• Ensure alignment among clients and internal stakeholders throughout the duration of projects.
• Validate, clean, and transfer payroll, HR, and historical data.
• Set up HCM/payroll configurations, which include pay groups, earnings/deductions, workflows, tax arrangements, and reporting.
• Provide training for client administrators and end users.
• Foster adoption through organized change management strategies.
• Take ownership of ongoing optimization for existing clients by assessing configurations, workflows, and reports.
• Keep up-to-date with updates, features, and releases from HCM/payroll vendors.
• Suggest and implement necessary platform modifications.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on a daily basis.
• Translate technical information into straightforward, actionable advice.
• Collaborate with managed payroll/HR and concierge teams to ensure a smooth post-go-live transition and support continuity.
• Identify and resolve data or configuration issues, escalating to vendor partners as necessary.
• 3–5+ years of experience in payroll, HR, or HCM, preferably with hands-on experience in implementation, configuration, migration, or system optimization.
• Working knowledge of one or more prominent HCM/payroll platforms, such as Paylocity, Paycor, Paycom, Rippling, or similar systems.
• Strong skills in project management.
• Ability to manage new implementations while concurrently optimizing ongoing client needs.
• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly regarding payroll data accuracy, tax setup, and compliance matters.
• Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• A consultative, client-focused approach.
• A genuine interest in fostering long-term client relationships.
• A mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
• Comfort with working independently in a fully remote setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Excel/spreadsheets.
• Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting platforms is an advantage.
• Payroll or HR certification, such as CPP, FPC, PHR, or SHRM-CP, is a plus but not mandatory.
