
Implementation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with clients and end users to collect requirements, clarify data readiness, and communicate file format specifications throughout the implementation and conversion phases;
• Conduct system and data analysis, troubleshoot errors during conversion events, understand downstream impacts, and document root cause findings;
• Develop and configure systems based on design specifications, ensure that configurations meet requirements, and maintain project deliverables within the designated scope of work;
• Take part in an on-call rotation to assist with planned conversion events that occur during evenings and weekends;
• Work collaboratively throughout the entire client lifecycle, including implementation, go-live, and optimization phases;
• Comply with all confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and other policies, procedures, and requirements as outlined in Employer’s Operating Policies and Procedures regarding any aspect of the data managed or services provided;
• Uphold adherence to Inovalon’s policies, procedures, and mission statement, while fulfilling responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably assigned by Inovalon to achieve operational and financial success.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical projects in a consulting, analyst, developer, or solution engineering role;
• Practical experience with web services, APIs, and system integrations;
• Proficient in SQL; familiarity with data normalization principles and the capability to work with flat file formats and data conversion processes;
• Comfortable using technical tools, including development environments, system configuration, and log or source code analysis;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to conduct root cause analysis and clearly document findings;
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliverables in a project setting;
• Excellent customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear guidance while maintaining professionalism under time-sensitive conditions;
• Experience in healthcare technology is a plus but not mandatory; curiosity and a willingness to develop domain expertise are expected.
