This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Take full ownership of the retail software implementation process, encompassing discovery and kickoff through to configuration, testing, training, go-live, and stabilization.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans that include scope, milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, resource requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor progress and ensure stakeholders are held accountable for their commitments.
• Identify potential risks, eliminate obstacles, manage changes in scope, drive decision-making, and escalate issues with recovery strategies.
• Facilitate project meetings with customers and internal teams, while keeping track of actions and decisions.
• Effectively communicate updates on progress, risks, and upcoming steps to operational teams and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Sales team on discovery efforts, solution workshops, customized demonstrations, and project scoping.
• Confirm delivery assumptions and ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation.
• Grasp customer planning, merchandising, allocation, replenishment, and inventory processes, converting them into functional requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Work alongside the Product team to validate capabilities, address functional discrepancies, align delivery dependencies, and provide customer insights for product enhancements.
• Coordinate with technical teams on data mapping, migration, integrations, and validation processes.
• Guide the functional configuration and validate outputs against real-world retail scenarios.
• Ensure readiness for user acceptance testing, training, and go-live phases.
• Lead issue resolution efforts, customer sign-off, post-launch stabilization, and adoption within daily planning and inventory workflows.
• Extensive, proven experience in implementation and delivery; successfully led complex retail software projects through to go-live.
• Demonstrated accountability for plans, timelines, dependencies, issue resolution, and customer acceptance processes.
• Proven track record of executing projects across customer, product, and technical teams while recovering projects that are at risk.
• In-depth knowledge of fashion and apparel retail through merchandise planning, allocation, replenishment, inventory management, or retail technology delivery.
• Strong familiarity with retail planning and inventory systems and their integration with merchandising, ERP, and other retail platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of merchandise financial planning, open-to-buy, assortment planning, demand forecasting, allocation, and replenishment, including factors such as seasonality, sizes and colors, markdown strategies, and inventory productivity.
• Experience working directly with clients on solution discovery, implementation, training, and adoption processes.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate decision-making.
• Capability to independently oversee delivery as an individual contributor and influence senior retail executives, planners, product teams, and technical teams without direct management authority.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Background that combines in-house retail planning or merchandising with implementation delivery in a retail software provider or consulting environment.
• Experience supporting omnichannel or multi-brand retail operations.
• Proven ability to contribute retail domain expertise to product design and assist in pre-sales demonstrations or solution workshops.
