• Prepare and draft applications and petitions for various employment-based immigration cases, such as PERM, H-1B, L-1, Blanket L, and F visa issues.
• Build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional partners, including recruiting and HR, to conduct in-house immigration sponsorship assessments.
• Provide guidance to the business and affected employees regarding employment-based immigration matters and visa applications.
• Respond to requests for additional information from USCIS and DOL.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
• Consult with management and leadership throughout the organization to evaluate the effects on business practices, operational costs, and efficiencies.
• Implement best practices in developing policies and procedures for all phases of the immigration process, including the internal management of immigration caseloads.
• Analyze cases, devise case strategies, and prepare employees for interviews, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate with employees throughout the intake process and ensure consistent updates on active cases.
• Organize and maintain detailed case files using a Case Management Platform, including forms management.
• Fulfill all responsibilities as specified in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
• Complete all special projects and additional duties as assigned.
• Juris Doctor degree.
• Current bar membership in good standing in any state in the United States or the District of Columbia.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in immigration law, preferably in an in-house setting.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and regulations.
• Significant, high-quality experience in advising stakeholders on immigration law issues.
• Excellent project management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and the discipline to work systematically.
• Ability to function both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook.
