This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
β’ Under the guidance of the practice team Director, you will collaborate with employers, their international staff, and HSI clients to formulate and execute legal strategies for various immigration issues.
β’ Engage in comprehensive discussions with clients to clarify visa application procedures and work with them to collect detailed supporting documentation and evidence.
β’ Address client inquiries regarding the steps of the application process, timelines, and associated costs.
β’ Prepare and submit green card-related applications to the appropriate government agencies, in partnership with fellow Attorneys and Case Managers.
β’ Draft responses to Requests for Evidence issued by government entities.
β’ Investigate legal matters pertaining to employment-based green card applications and stay updated on the latest developments in immigration law.
β’ Communicate with other Attorneys and Case Managers within the firm to support clients with needs that span across practice areas.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
β’ 1-2+ years of experience as an attorney in the employment-based immigration sector.
β’ Experience with preparing I-140 immigration petitions and I-485 AOS applications is preferred but not mandatory.
β’ Understanding of the relationship between PERM Labor Certification concepts, nonimmigrant status, and I-140, AOS, and Immigrant Visa concepts.
β’ Capacity to prioritize and manage a demanding caseload efficiently while adhering to strict legal deadlines.
β’ Ability to collaborate professionally and effectively with team members.
β’ Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex legal concepts into easily understandable terms for clients.
β’ Patience to conduct frequent, and at times repetitive, educational correspondence and/or calls with clients to summarize their application processes and address their inquiries.
β’ Strong attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
