This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as the main legal advisor to the Marketing team, helping to shape Alma's messaging related to community engagement and immigration topics.
• Convert legal knowledge into accessible guidance for various platforms including social media and customer-oriented materials.
• Review and tailor social media interactions to ensure they meet legal standards.
• Engage in discussions, AMAs, webinars, and initiatives to position Alma as a credible authority in employment-based immigration.
• Recognize common immigration inquiries and create proactive content to address them.
• Draft scripts and participate in educational videos and other content formats.
• Assess the legal accuracy, clarity, and usefulness of content found in guides, blogs, and instructional materials.
• Publish attorney-supported analyses of USCIS announcements and significant updates.
• Assist in the creation and upkeep of Alma's immigration knowledge repository.
• Collaborate with Growth, Product, and Legal teams to produce educational content based on frequent client inquiries.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in U.S. employment-based immigration law.
• Familiarity with a wide array of employment-based visa categories, including O-1A/B, EB-1A/B, H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN, PERM, and related pathways.
• Outstanding writing abilities to articulate complex immigration concepts in a clear and practical manner.
• Passion for educating others and fostering trust through considerate communication.
• Confidence in public speaking across various platforms, including videos, webinars, podcasts, and community events.
• Strong legal acumen to differentiate between general educational advice and specific legal counsel.
• Proficient in utilizing modern technology to enhance attorney productivity.
• Analytical and creative skills to identify trends in cases and transform insights into educational content.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Legal, Growth, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams.
• Proactive mindset to influence how immigration knowledge is disseminated on a larger scale.
• Must possess a J.D. or LL.B. (or equivalent law degree) and be qualified to practice law in your jurisdiction.
• Experience in advising on U.S. immigration law is essential.
