Illustration Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop new artwork and complete sets in the established style of Hadley Designs across various product lines.

• Illustrate original characters, motifs, patterns, and scenes in a charming, kid-friendly aesthetic.

• Transform the concepts and creative direction provided by the CCO into finished, production-ready product designs.

• Independently manage designs from the initial handoff to the final build-out.

• Execute variations, create complete design sets, and prepare files accordingly.

• Generate print and production files that meet specifications.

• Create mockups and product previews for online listings.

• Ensure consistent style and branding across product sets.

• Update the living style reference as the catalog expands.

• Occasionally provide support for secondary ad operations and make revisions on existing product lines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A portfolio showcasing original illustration work that reflects a cute, playful, kid-friendly, or product design perspective.

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator for creating native illustrations.

• Capable of matching and extending an existing art style to produce a cohesive set.

• Strong ability to interpret written and verbal creative direction and translate it into finished artwork.

• Reliable in meeting deadlines while juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience in preparing print and production files to specifications (optional but preferred).

• Familiarity with the children's, educational, or consumer product sectors (optional but preferred).

• Comfort level with Notion, ClickUp, and file organization systems (optional but preferred).

• Early-career or entry-level illustrator; this position is not intended for a senior art director or veteran illustrator.
