This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams and contribute to ICT design and project management activities for mission-critical hyperscale and colocation data center, as well as smart building/city projects.
• Work closely with ICT group technical personnel to support project management, design, and drafting initiatives.
• Assist project leadership with automation projects that have a complex scope.
• Function independently or under minimal supervision.
• Communicate and act in alignment with organizational goals and values, along with departmental objectives.
• Execute Information Communication Technology (ICT) design tasks for structured cabling, security, and A/V systems.
• Conduct computational analysis and design tasks for intricate projects, components, and systems.
• Develop scalable designs for fiber optic and copper plants with limited oversight.
• Identify physical layer routes and utilization with minimal guidance.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit software to create drawings and visual aids.
• Review and/or prepare specifications for books or sheets.
• Manage the project design team effectively and in a timely manner, including resource forecasting and coordination.
• Identify potential changes in project scope and assist in developing strategies to minimize impacts and control deviations from estimated costs and project timelines.
• Conduct QAQC peer reviews for projects where the lead design engineer is not responsible.
• Survey existing building conditions and prepare technical reports based on findings.
• Gather data and other information necessary for construction documents.
• Prepare design, specification, and construction documents for projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Revit modeling software.
• At least five years of engineering and project management experience in ICT projects, including a minimum of two years in mission-critical data center design projects.
• Familiarity with fiber optic components, cabling, and interconnect products.
• Understanding of ICT structured cabling design technologies and standards.
• Knowledge of Audio Visual (AV), Access Control, and CCTV design standards.
• Competence in using Revit software.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), with exceptional organizational skills for file management.
• Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, enhance operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation.
