ICT Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Assist in the production of Low Voltage System (ICT, Security, A/V) Engineering deliverables (75%)

• Support the creation of BIM / CAD deliverables, including Revit models and AutoCAD drawings, to fulfill project design requirements

• Execute intermediate design tasks under the guidance of a senior engineer

• Provide project delivery assistance to the team, including management of electronic documents and BIM models as necessary for project submissions and completion of deliverables

• Collaborate effectively with other technical trade leads (MEP, BAS, EPMS, ICT) to ensure seamless multi-discipline coordination

• Successfully deliver assigned BIM / CAD production tasks within the budget and timelines set by the project team

• Assist in Pre-Construction Activities (10%)

• Conduct surveys of existing building conditions and prepare technical reports based on findings

• Gather data and information necessary for construction documents

• Prepare project design and construction documentation

• Perform basic editing and writing of project specifications

• Assist in Construction Activities (15%)

• Collaborate as part of the engineering team while closely interacting with the project management team

• Review shop drawings and submittals

• Evaluate and respond to RFIs

• Review and complete punch lists along with project close-out documentation

• Prepare project progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders

• Update and maintain the shop drawing and RFI log

• Utilize AI-enabled and digital tools to improve efficiency, minimize manual efforts, and ensure consistent, high-quality output

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements while demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning, actively seeking out new technologies, skills, and methods to boost both individual and team performance

• Adapt to new technologies and evolving digital workflows, supporting the integration and adoption of innovative tools throughout the organization

• Complete assigned tasks and deliverables punctually and within budget

• Perform other related duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge of networking systems (both copper and fiber optic), cabling, and components

• Familiarity with Audio Visual (AV), Access Control, and CCTV systems and their components

• Proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit Computer Aided Design tools

• Skilled in utilizing the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) along with excellent organizational abilities for file management

• Capable of completing assignments with accuracy and meticulous attention to detail

• Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation

• Ability to adhere to company and site safety protocols

• Proficient in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence

• Effective communicator in both oral and written forms (technical and non-technical information)

• Capable of directly communicating with clients and occasionally serving as the primary point of contact

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with moderate supervision

• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to thrive in a remote setting through effective communication, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace
