IaaS Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance automation solutions for a comprehensive Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform.

• Operate within a DevOps framework where development and operations are integrated into daily activities.

• Create Infrastructure as Code and configuration management solutions utilizing Ansible and Python.

• Enhance platform reliability through effective monitoring, automation, and ongoing optimization.

• Play a role in the advancement of VMware-based infrastructure services.

• Assess operational workflows and automate repetitive processes.

• Work in collaboration with operations and engineering teams to improve platform reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of practical experience with Ansible, including the maintenance and development of roles and collections.

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience in developing automation solutions consistent with CI/CD practices, Git, and infrastructure automation.

• Familiarity with VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Director.

• Experience managing RHEL/Windows operating systems and DNS services.

• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as vRealize Suite, Prometheus, Grafana, and Logstash.

• Experience in analyzing operational workflows and automating repetitive tasks.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Curious, adaptable, and enthusiastic about learning new technologies and methodologies.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.

• Knowledge of German is considered a plus.
