This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee independent agencies within a specified area of responsibility by utilizing in-person meetings, virtual sessions, phone calls, and emails to cultivate relationships, provide training, and assess agency performance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on GEICO and its affiliated products, features, and tools, while also maintaining a comprehensive understanding of competitor offerings to enhance preference for GEICO’s products.
• Translate national strategic initiatives into local objectives and goals to boost agent engagement, execution, and growth.
• Deliver impactful communications; assist agencies in formulating local marketing plans and strategies to achieve growth targets.
• Analyze data to develop strategies that prioritize the most significant opportunities within the assigned area of responsibility and/or specific agency.
• Monitor agent performance against established goals, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct training sessions for agency staff on GEICO and GEICO-affiliated products, services, and value propositions.
• Provide counsel to agents, and with leadership support, implement disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
• Identify, interview, and approve new appointments to enhance GEICO’s agency distribution.
• Comply with the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operational principles.
• Maintain attendance standards at the business location to fulfill essential job functions and facilitate engagement with subordinates and management.
• Must be capable of performing essential functions, with or without accommodation, which include, but are not limited to, seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking.
• Must be available for both in-person and virtual meetings.
• Must be able to follow complex instructions, manage conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and possess strong organizational and priority-setting skills.
• Must be able to learn and apply extensive technical and procedural information.
• Adhere to GEICO’s driving standards and/or policy.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of sales or relevant insurance experience required.
• Prior experience in driving sales results is essential.
• Previous experience working with various lines of insurance (P&C, Commercial, Life & Health) is a plus.
