This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the sales team to grasp customer needs, project scope, and technical specifications.
• Offer technical expertise on HVAC system designs, equipment selection, and feasibility assessments.
• Suggest products based on cost-effectiveness, energy efficiency, and performance enhancements.
• Create and deliver technical presentations to clients and internal teams.
• Estimate costs of HVAC systems, encompassing equipment and third-party line-item expenses.
• Develop precise, competitive cost proposals that align with project budgets.
• Evaluate project risks, constraints, and timelines.
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend HVAC systems, including both small and large tonnage chillers, as well as Solution and Custom air handling units.
• Utilize design tools and software for sizing, selecting, and configuring HVAC equipment.
• Draft scopes of work along with comprehensive technical proposals and specifications.
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure that proposals and quotes are thoroughly documented and meet client expectations.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Sales, product development, and technical teams.
• Stay updated on HVAC technologies, product offerings, and the latest industry best practices.
• Address customer inquiries, provide application advice, and recommend solutions throughout the sales cycle.
• Foster and maintain customer relationships through prompt communication and technical expertise.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in HVAC engineering focused on pre-sale activities such as estimating, system selection, and technical scopes.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and applications, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air conditioning.
• Familiarity with HVAC industry standards, energy codes, and building regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical presentation abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capability to work independently, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines.
• Professional certification in HVAC (e.g., ASHRAE, AEE, or similar) is preferred.
• Previous experience in HVAC system design, estimating, or sales support is preferred.
• Knowledge of BIM and AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Experience with Johnson Controls/York Products and Services is preferred.
• Proficiency in HVAC software and system design tools such as Solution Navigator, Trane Trace, and Carrier HAP is preferred.
