Hungarian VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Maintain awareness of the specific vocabulary relevant to the industries in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medicine.

• Ensure all messages are rendered accurately and completely, without addition, omission, or substitution.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Hungarian".

• Over 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
