This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.
• Implement fully compliant procurement procedures in accordance with CRS policies, established protocols, and donor requirements.
• Assist in procurement planning by collecting requirements, market insights, and pricing information for Cuba-related procurement needs, while identifying constraints or risks that may influence sourcing.
• Execute or assist with comprehensive procurement processes, which include preparing solicitations, sourcing suppliers, supporting bid evaluations, and managing documentation.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, program, logistics, and finance teams to monitor procurement activities, track progress, and escalate any issues that may affect delivery.
• Engage proactively with suppliers to track order status, address concerns, and facilitate contract execution.
• Ensure that delivered goods and services meet the required specifications, quantities, timelines, and cost expectations, and follow up on any discrepancies.
• Keep precise and comprehensive procurement records to guarantee audit readiness and compliance.
• Assist in identifying suppliers, conducting market research, engaging with the market, and performing due diligence for suppliers pertinent to Cuba operations.
• Offer basic procurement support and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Aid in procurement reporting and maintain accurate data within ERP systems (e.g., Insight).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• A minimum of two to five years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within an international organization.
• Strong understanding of various donor procurement regulations (e.g., Department of State).
• Familiarity with international and national procurement regulations as well as local market conditions in the US, Latin America, and the Caribbean region.
• Comprehension of contract terms and the ability to successfully fulfill purchase orders according to specifications.
• Proficient in the MS Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) systems is highly desirable.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% to CRS and vendor locations within the US, Caribbean, and Latin America.
